Tyler has worked as a freelance writer and photographer for Colorado Central Magazine, The Chaffee County Times, Colorado Collective and High Notes Magazine. He has dabbled in wedding photography and video for Yellow Feather Photographer and Ampersand Family, as well as promotional videos.
After graduating with a BA in Convergence Journalism from Metro State of Denver, Tyler began his freelance career before going back to school for his Masters in Environmental Management from Western State Colorado. During that time he pursued professional guiding in rafting, splitboarding, and climbing, as well as ski/snowboard instructing. He taught environmental science at Colorado Mountain College, along with a plethora of other odd jobs. Most recently he is working on a food distribution service. Grimes is looking for opportunities to combine media, outdoor education, environmentalism, guiding and adventure.
He shoots mountain adventure sports and the brands that make it possible.
